Training schedule:
6 times a week (Weight training at the Bishan gym on Mondays and Thursdays, plyometrics at East Coast Park on Wednesdays, skating training – specific skills and endurance at East Coast Park, Commonwealth track and Changi Business Park on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays)

Why I do this sport:
Because skating returns the child in you

Other hobbies:
Reading, tinkering with computer hardware

My personal motto:
In order to save the world all one needs to do is to think

Espousing the philosophy that an effective, productive person requires the integration of mind and body, Jansen Tang turned to the sport of inline speed skating more than a year ago to realize this aim and has never looked back since. By placing himself under the capable hands of world-class coach Sandy Snakenberg, he is now a firm believer of Sandy’s training methods.

When not cruising down the bike path of East Coast Park on his skates, Jansen can be heard waxing lyrical about the benefits of an active lifestyle to his friends and colleagues. He intends to skate in as many overseas events as possible and to date counts his Korean half marathon experience as the most memorable.
